“Ukraine — Land of the Brave”
A UCMAO evening in Toronto on 10 December 2022, presenting flags signed by Ukraine’s defenders and thanking Canadians who help Ukrainians.
UCMAO invited members and friends to “Ukraine — Land of the Brave”, an evening in Toronto on 10 December 2022.
The programme included a presentation of unique flags signed by defenders from the Armed Forces and National Guard of Ukraine, a thank-you to our special guests — local Canadians who have been helping Ukrainians in many ways — along with stories of humanitarian work in Ukraine and in Canada.
Guests were also invited to reflect on what a flag stands for — a nation’s land, people and government — and on what the features of the Ukrainian flag say about Ukraine and its culture.
